Verma in a requesting tone urged, “Well, I have to leave home early today as my wife is not well. Can we pre-pone our meeting to 2:00 pm i.e., precisely after an hour? Hope you are comfortable?” Abhijit was already in a pressing situation but to honour his client, he promptly replied, “Not a problem, do come and please be here at 2:00 pm.” The response squeezed Abhijit’s time schedule further. Abhijit called Ms. Suman. “Yes Sir!” she said in a pleasant tone. “Did you prepare the partnership deed of Jay’s LLP?” asked Abhijit. “No, Sir! I am about to complete it today,” fumbled Suman. “You need an entire day to draft a deed? What took you so long? It’s the simplest thing to do in the world. You have been on this since yesterday, a job which doesn’t require more than three hours. You still require a day?” countered Abhijit in a raised tone losing his much-coveted sophistication while in conversation with a lady. “Jay has pre-poned the meeting and can be here at any moment. Sit with me for fifteen minutes with whatever you have done. I have to take control of it now. Please don’t make any silly spelling mistakes,” he emphasized.
